Greenlawn earned its name in 1871, when the railroad renamed the settlement then called Old Fields to project an idyllic, green, small-town image, and the hamlet has held onto that feeling ever since. It was once known for pickles, potatoes and cabbage, and today it is a friendly Town of Huntington community of family homes, with a compact downtown along Broadway where American flags line the street. Greenlawn's residential streets feature a mix of colonials, capes, ranches and older farmhouse-style homes, and each looks best with a design made for it. We start with a clean C9 LED roofline and add wreaths, garlands and landscape lighting to suit the house.
Many Greenlawn yards have mature trees and foundation plantings that make a great backdrop for holiday lighting. We wrap trunks and branches, net hedges and line walkways so the whole property feels finished, not just the gutters. Everything is installed with commercial-grade clips, and we handle maintenance throughout the season, including bulb replacement, then take it all down and store it after the holidays. Greenlawn takes pride in its small-town way of life. Each December the Greenlawn Civic Association hosts its Christmas tree lighting at Harborfields Public Library on Broadway, a long-running tradition with music, cocoa and a visit from Santa, and it holds a menorah lighting as well. The Civic Association has even turned the area by the LIRR station into a native-plant pocket garden. From the blocks around Broadway to the roads toward Centerport Harbor, we help neighbors make their homes part of the celebration.

My yard has big old trees. Can you wrap them?
Yes. Tree wrapping for trunks and branches is part of our Premium package, along with netted bushes and hedges, driveway and walkway borders and specialty décor like icicles and snowflakes. Mature trees are often the most striking part of a Greenlawn display, and our design consultation helps decide which ones to feature.
Do I need to be home for the installation?
Call us to discuss the details for your property, including access to outdoor outlets and any gates. Once we have agreed on the design, our crew handles the installation, and maintenance throughout the season is included. If anything goes dark in December, give us a call and we will come back to replace bulbs or fix the section.
Do you store my lights after the holidays?
Yes. Takedown and storage are included. After the season, our crew removes your lighting and we keep it stored until next year. That frees up garage and basement space and means your display is ready to go again next season without untangling strands or hunting for replacement bulbs.
