St. James sits on the eastern side of the Town of Smithtown, where its historic district stretches along Route 25A with an 1857 general store, an 1873 railroad station and St. James Episcopal Church. To the north are the estates of Head of the Harbor. We have a long driveway set back from the road. Can you light the approach?
Driveway and walkway borders are part of our Premium package, and they are a favorite on St. James properties where the house sits well back from the street. Lighting the approach and a few trees near the entrance makes the property welcoming from the road.
Our home is historic. How do you approach older houses?
We design around the architecture, following cornices, porches, gables and dormers rather than covering them, and we attach lights using commercial-grade clips. If your home has features you are concerned about, mention them when you call and we will plan the layout with them in mind.
Do you install lights for businesses on Lake Avenue?

Can you keep up with maintenance on a large display all season?
Maintenance throughout the season is included with every package, including bulb replacement. If a section goes dark or a strand shifts in the wind, call us and we will come back to fix it. After the holidays, we take the display down and store it until next year.
