Great Neck covers an entire peninsula in the Town of North Hempstead, bounded by Long Island Sound, Little Neck Bay and Manhasset Bay, and divided among nine incorporated villages plus unincorporated areas. That makes it more varied than most towns: waterfront estates in Kings Point, established residential blocks in Great Neck Estates and Russell Gardens, and the busy commercial district of Great Neck Plaza around the train station. A lighting plan for a large Kings Point property looks nothing like one for a compact home off Middle Neck Road, and we design each one individually.
Homes near the water on three sides of the peninsula see strong wind and salt air in winter, so we fasten every strand with commercial-grade clips and handle bulb replacement throughout the season. Larger properties often choose our Premium package for tree wrapping, netted hedges, driveway borders and specialty décor, backed by a full design consultation. Great Neck is made up of several incorporated villages, and each sets its own local rules. We recommend checking with your village or homeowners association if you have questions about decorations. Can you install lights on a waterfront home in Kings Point?
Yes. Waterfront homes on the peninsula face wind and salt air from the Sound and the bays, so we secure runs with commercial-grade clips and maintain the display all season, including bulb replacement. For large estate properties, our Premium package adds landscape lighting and a full design consultation.
Do you decorate businesses in Great Neck Plaza?
We do. We install holiday lighting on commercial properties as well as homes, and storefronts along the Plaza's shopping streets are a natural fit for roofline and window lighting. Call us to talk about your building, your hours, and the best time to install and take down.
Can you add wreaths and garlands to my Great Neck home?
Our Premium package includes wreaths, garlands and bows along with tree wrapping, hedge lighting, walkway borders and specialty décor like icicles and snowflakes. It pairs well with the colonial and Tudor-style homes found in many Great Neck villages, where a lit wreath on the front door and garland along the entry can finish the look.
When do you take the lights down?
