Bay Shore calls itself the Heart of the South Shore, and Main Street proves it every holiday season. On Small Business Saturday, the Holiday Spectacular brings a tree and menorah lighting, music and a visit from Santa to East Main Street, and the restaurants, boutiques and the Boulton Center keep downtown busy right through December. If your business is on Main Street, a well-planned facade display can draw people in, and we handle commercial installations from design through takedown. Off Main Street, most of Bay Shore's housing was built after World War II, when farmland became neighborhoods of capes, ranches and split-levels. Most of those homes are an easy fit for our Basic or Deluxe roofline packages.
South of Montauk Highway, closer to the Great South Bay and the Fire Island ferry docks, the homes are older and larger. Many are shingled or Victorian houses with deep porches, and some sit on canals. Those streets get the strongest bay wind, so we secure every C9 run with commercial-grade clips and check it throughout the season. On larger lots, our Premium package adds hedge nets, tree wrapping and walkway borders, all set on a timer with a power extension. After the holidays we take the whole display down and store it, and it will be ready to go back up next year.

Bay Shore mixes history with a busy downtown. Sagtikos Manor dates to the 1690s, Gardiner County Park stretches along the bay, the Boulton Center brings shows to Main Street and the ferries head out to Fire Island in season. In winter, the Main Street tree lighting and the lit storefronts give the hamlet a small-city holiday feel, and the neighborhoods around them offer plenty of rooflines worth lighting.

Can you have my Bay Shore storefront lit before Small Business Saturday?
We typically install within 48 hours of booking, so there is usually time to get your display up before the Main Street holiday events. The late-November calendar fills up fast, though, so book early. Call our Suffolk line at 631-515-7882 to set up a design and install date for your business.
What package works best on a Bay Shore split-level or ranch?
Many post-war Bay Shore homes look great with the Basic package, which covers C9 LED lighting on front-facing gutters and peaks. If your home has side gables, a ridge line or dormers you want to highlight, Deluxe covers the full roofline and adds custom color patterns, a power extension and a timer.
Do you install on the larger older homes south of Montauk Highway?
Yes. Those homes often have porches, several rooflines and mature landscaping, so they are a good fit for our Premium package. It includes the full roofline plus bushes and hedges, tree wrapping, wreaths and garlands, driveway and walkway borders, specialty décor and a full design consultation.
Will the wind off the Great South Bay knock my lights down?
We install with the bay in mind. Our crews use commercial-grade clips and secure each run so it stays straight in winter wind. If a bulb goes out or anything shifts during the season, maintenance is included. Call us and we will come out to fix it.
Do I need to store the lights after the season?
No. Takedown and storage are included. When the holidays are over, we remove your display and store it until next season, so you do not have to find space in the garage or attic. Our Suffolk office can schedule your takedown Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and weekends 10am to 6pm.
