East Marion is a quiet North Fork hamlet between Greenport and Orient, known for rolling farmland, bays and inlets, and the causeway where Gardiner's Bay and Long Island Sound nearly meet. Its homes range from 19th-century farmhouses and cottages along Main Road to newer houses tucked near the water, and many are second homes for families who come out on weekends. We design holiday lighting that suits that low-key, country character: warm C9 LED lines along gutters and peaks, a lit porch or entry, and a wrapped tree or two, so a house glows without overpowering the dark, starry North Fork night.
With water on both sides of the hamlet, East Marion homes take on more wind and salt air than most of Long Island. East Marion is exposed to wind off the Sound and the bay. Will my lights stay up?
We fasten every run with commercial-grade clips rather than loose ties, which helps lights stay aligned in the stronger wind East Marion gets from both sides. Maintenance throughout the season is included, so if a storm affects part of your display, call us and we will come out to repair it and replace any bulbs.
I only use my East Marion house on weekends. Can you still handle my lights?
Yes. Many North Fork clients are part-time residents. Once we agree on a design, we handle installation, in-season maintenance, takedown and storage, so there is nothing to coordinate while you are away. Lights can be set on a timer, which is included in our Deluxe and Premium packages, so the house glows every evening whether or not you are there.
Can you light an older farmhouse without damaging the trim?
We attach lighting with clips designed for gutters and shingles rather than nailing into historic trim, and we tailor the layout to the house instead of forcing a standard pattern. For a classic farmhouse, a simple roofline outline, a lit porch and a wreath or garland at the door often look best. Call us to talk through your home's details.
Do you install lights on bushes and trees on larger North Fork lots?
Yes. Our Premium package includes lighting bushes and hedges with nets or string lights, wrapping tree trunks and branches, driveway and walkway borders, specialty décor like icicles or snowflakes, and a full design consultation. On open East Marion lots we usually focus the design on what can be seen from Main Road or your driveway.
How far in advance should I book an East Marion installation?
Installs typically happen within 48 hours of booking, but East End dates get busy as the holidays approach, so reaching out early gives you the most flexibility. Call 631-515-7882 Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, or Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm, and we will find a date that works.
